I am Frank - Hear me roar

Heys everyone! my names Frank and am new to Macquarie University. Just started this year in the mid year session and am really looking forward to the experience here and hoping it will the first step to my ultimate goal which is to become a professional game developer.

I'm currently studying  Bachelor of Information Technology - Games design and development which trust me when spoken can be a mouth full. To complete the course it will be a minimum of 3 years but most likely turn out to be 4. Seems to be a pretty tough course and there is alot to take in as things seem to move pretty fast so it takes many of my hours trying to stay on top of my game haha.

As you would have probably guessed by now my passion is video games. I have loved video games since i was 8 years old and first started playing leisure suit larry on my uncles really really old computer which used floppy discs. Funny thing was it wasn't the floppy discs which you probably know of which are the small hard square discs, but really large square discs twice to three times the size of the discs you know and was not hard but actually floppy and flexible. I could never understand why they called the small hard ones floppy since i don't think its floppy at all!

There is many things i plan to do this year, one thing being going to EB Expo 2012 which is a gaming event which will bring all the game companies from around the world showcasing their new games that will be coming out. I however will be using it as an opportunity to try and talk with some of the game developers and find out the best ways in trying to get into the games industry and maybe ill see if i can enter a comp or too haha. The following is a video to this event which you will agree looks pretty awesome!

Pretty great right! looking forward to it and hopefully it will be fantastic. Other things i plan to do is Learn to Fence and also Learn Badminton. I have already signed up and will find these classes pretty fun and a great way to give my mind a rest and work out the body.

Lastly I love watching funny videos on youtube so i will finish by adding one of my favourite videos for your enjoyment. Enjoy! and i hope you all have a great year in uni! =D
